Every year, the world’s best paint protection film (PPF) installers gather at the International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ (WFCT) to prove their skill, speed, and precision. Competitors travel from all over the globe to take their shot at the title of World’s Best, while seasoned industry judges examine every detail, from flawless finishes to safety, cleanliness, and technique.
And while each year crowns a new champion, there’s a special club of repeat winners who have left their mark on Tint-Off history. Let’s take a trip down memory lane and celebrate the pros who’ve turned multiple podium appearances into a habit.
The Podium Pro: Kyle Murdock
If WFCT had a “frequent flyer” program for the podium, Kyle Murdock of Oz Braz in Gilbert, Arizona, would be platinum status. Since his first 1st-place win in 2017, Murdock has been a force in the competition, grabbing the crown again in 2022 and racking up a collection of 2nd-place finishes in 2018, 2019, and 2021.
The Consistency King: Tyler O’Hara
Tyler O’Hara, who represents Ghost Shield Paint Protection in Newbury Park, California, and later American Wrap Company in Thousand Oaks, California, is no stranger to WFCT glory. His reign began in 2015 with a 2nd place finish, followed by 1st place wins in 2016 and 2018. Add in multiple 2nd and 3rd place showings, and O’Hara’s résumé reads like a masterclass in staying at the top.

The Return of Nick Abaro
Nick Abaro, of Genesis Autoworks Inc. in Elk Grove, California, has had one of the longest-running Tint-Off arcs, starting with his 1st place victory back in Reno in 2015, and nearly a decade later, snagging 2nd place in Orlando in 2024. That’s the kind of longevity that proves skill never goes out of style.
Other Standout Names
From Chris West’s (CCA Motorsport, Anchorage, Alaska) 2018 and 2019 podium swaps to Craig Bledsoe’s (Elite Clear Bra, Huntington Beach, California) back-to-back 3rd place finishes in 2022 and 2023, and Andrew Garcia’s (Oz Braz) dual appearances in 2017 and 2021, the Tint-Off podium has seen its share of familiar faces. Each year brings new challengers, but these names show that experience—and steady hands—count for a lot.
From Orlando to Reno—Who’s Next?
In 2024, Neil Moran of CGS Vinyl in Pelham, Alabama, took home the top spot in Orlando, with Nick Abaro and Challen Yost, of Midwest Tinting in Overland Park, Kansas, right behind. But in 2025, the competition heads to Reno, Nevada, where a fresh field of installers will try to etch their names into WFCT history, and maybe even start their own multi-year winning streak.
One thing’s certain: the road to “World’s Best” is paved with precision cuts, clean edges, and nerves of steel.
