As the year is quickly coming to a close I’ve been realizing how thankful I am that we’ve made it this far. I had no idea what was in store as the clock struck midnight and 2020 began. It seems as though every month has brought on new challenges that impact all of us in some fashion, yet we keep moving forward. Not that I would expect anything less from the those in the paint protection film (PPF) sector — and who isn’t proud of that?
This year has felt like it was dragging on and somehow going full speed all at the same time. Throughout the constant motion of the year, the industry has had growth. Several companies have branched out and expanded their offerings to help those in need during the early onset of the pandemic, while other businesses have added new staff to keep up.
PPF magazine has also expanded by adding a fall issue. But being able to provide an additional opportunity to highlight the latest industry topics, products and more is definitely something to be glad about, especially as more businesses are entering into PPF. (If you’re new to the industry or are looking to add on additional services, there are several articles in this issue—see pages 4, 8, 10 and 16.)
It might seem as if there’s still a lot of time left in 2020 but I think as soon as the holiday season hits we’ll have just enough time to blink before we’re looking into 2021. I can’t help but smile just thinking about all that is to come.
Speaking of 2021, PPF magazine’s team is excited to see many of you at the International Window Film Conference and Tint Off™ next June. There you can take advantage of educational sessions focusing on successful sales strategies, what it takes to get into the business and of course the competitions. If you haven’t registered yet, there’s still time. See page 6 for all the info on attending. We hope to see you online or in Orlando.
