Eastman Unveils LLumar® Valor, SunTek® Reaction and V-KOOL™ Solitaire
Eastman Performance Films, LLC (Eastman) recently launched LLumar® Valor, SunTek® Reaction, and V-KOOL™ Solitaire, which it said raises performance standards for the paint protection film industry as a whole. These market entries unite ceramic coating features and those of paint protection film in a single product, according to the company.
Valor, Reaction and Solitaire are also the first products in their category to offer Tetrashield™ protective resin system technology. This component enables a new and improved, super hydrophobic top coat that its maker says makes washing fast and easy. It also guards against nature’s harshest automotive finish threats, including acid rain, bird droppings and tree sap.
Eastman says its new paint protection films can self-heal scratches with sun or engine heat and provide rock chip protection. Valor, Reaction and Solitaire have a hyper-glossy, optically clear finish that’s free of any distortion or orange peel texture.

Avery Dennison® Launches Supreme Defense™ Gloss Paint Protection Film
Avery Dennison® Graphics Solutions (Avery Dennison) introduced Avery Dennison Supreme Defense™ Gloss, a next-generation gloss clear paint protection film that protects vehicles from outdoor weathering conditions.
Supreme Defense Gloss protects against stones, stains, dings, scrapes, insects, and other environmental damage, according to the company. Th e advanced hydrophobic top-coat layer repels water and dirt for easy cleaning and low maintenance and has self-healing capabilities. Th e core polyurethane layer provides a uniform look and long-term impact resistance. The adhesive layer creates a secure and safe bond with the bodywork and is easily removable. Th e high transparency film won’t yellow, peel or blister and is durable for up to 10 years.
To complement the paint protection films portfolio, the company also offers its Vehicle Design Template (VDT) Cutting Software, a proprietary software with thousands of pre-cut templates. VDT Software is available at a monthly subscription price.
