2018 Was A Year of Growth

By Tara  Taffera

You may notice the growth that occurred in PPF magazine’s Top PPF Dealers this year in more ways than one. First, the list expanded from the top five to the top 12. The magazine widened its research, thus adding a number of successful PPF companies to this year’s revenue ranking. Second, every company posted gains in revenue from 2017 to 2018. The lowest gain was 13 percent—imagine that—while the highest was 69. Those are some impressive numbers.

“I think we’ve continued to do well because we offer the same level of care to each customer no matter what they drive. We also have solid accounts and referrals and are willing to put in twelve to eighteen hour days just to keep our customer satisfaction high,” says Carl Melendez, 631 Coatings owner.

“Our numbers have grown consistently every year and I think it’s because we are spending more time educating our customers. We use to spend about 30 minutes per customer, we’d walk them through and explain the process fully before starting any work. Now we spend about 45 minutes per customer for each consultation so there aren’t any surprises for them when they come in to get everything done. We’ve eliminated upselling because we let them know about everything they’ll need to have to complete their vision for their vehicle,” says Kyle Owen, Clear Bra Indy owner.

The dealers were selected based on their self-reported sales from 2017 and 2018. (If we missed your company please email ttaffera@glass.com to be considered next year.)
