and we can protect everything within.” –Harry Rahman, director of architectural films at XPEL
Can you spot all the opportunities in this picture? Before turning to the next page, see if
you can identify all the things customers may consider having PPF protect.
“Protect everything” is XPEL’s new marketing slogan. It got us thinking ‘what else can paint protection film (PPF) protect?’ PPFMag worked with Harry Rahman, director of architectural films at XPEL, on what exactly that means for PPF installers.
If You’re Only Putting PPF on Cars, You’re Missing Some
- Countertops: “What kind of countertops do you have at home? PPF can help protect them from stains, chips and other weathering that can take place over the years.”–that line alone may sell them.
- Appliances: Whether plastic or stainless steel, appliances like dishwashers and refrigerators can take a lot of damage. PPF will keep it free of scuffs, scrapes and skid marks, ensuring a brand new look throughout its lifespan.
- Certain tables: See Number 1.
- Bicycles: As of January 1, 2024, the average monthly payment for new cars is $726, according to Bankrate.com— so some urban dwellers are opting for bicycles, electric or
pedal-based. Those who forego cars tend to invest a bit more in higher-end bicycles and they may want to protect their two-wheeled asset. - RVs: According to Southeast Financial, RVs are growing among younger users more and more, especially with remote work trends. 18-to-34-year-olds now make up 22% of owners and 84% of them plan to buy another one—almost all of them prefer new ones, not used. Protect them!
- Cars: Duh
Marine Vehicles: (not pictured) Boats and jet skis are prime targets for PPF installers to make money. Most people who have a boat have are willing to spend money to protect it.
