XPEL Inc, a global provider of protective films and coatings, and electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian have announced an expanded collaboration that offers Rivian R1T and R1S owners in the U.S. and Canada a new customization program for paint protection and window film.
Through the initiative, Rivian owners can purchase XPEL products directly from Rivian’s Gear Shop. Rivian says the program includes pre-set pricing, the “convenience” of booking installation with an XPEL Certified Rivian Network Partner and a 5-year/60,000-mile warranty aligned with Rivian’s factory agreement.
Customers can customize their vehicles with two primary XPEL products:
- ULTIMATE PLUS™ Paint Protection Film: This film is designed to protect a vehicle’s paint from scratches, chips, stains and daily wear. It features self-healing properties for light scratches and resists UV yellowing to maintain clarity in challenging conditions. It can be applied to specific areas such as the front, rocker panels or door sills.
- PRIME Window Film: This film offers enhanced privacy, heat rejection and UV protection by blocking 99% of harmful UV rays. It is available in PRIME CS, PRIME XR and PRIME XR PLUS options, with various tint levels to suit individual needs and style preferences.
Rivian has previously partnered with XPEL to offer full-body PPF on select models at the factory. This new program builds on that relationship.
“With this extended collaboration, we’re encouraging Rivian owners to be as adventurous as their vehicles,” said Anthony Pecaski, XPEL’s senior manager of key accounts. “This new program allows for the enhanced protection and customization each customer desires to keep their vehicle looking great during their ownership experience.”
To maximize benefits, XPEL recommends Rivian owners install protective films early in the vehicle’s life. Certified installers can also suggest additional services beyond the scope of this program, available at extra cost.
Rivian customers in the U.S. and Canada can access the program and schedule installations through Rivian’s Gear Shop or XPEL’s website.
